Overview
Medical brands walk a fine line: they need to project clinical precision and compliance while still being visually distinctive in a commoditised market. We built Squad Medical Supplies a brand that does both.
The Challenge
The company had been operating with a generic wordmark and no brand system. Their stationery was inconsistent across locations, their supplier materials looked unprofessional compared to competitors, and their website imagery was stock-heavy and impersonal. In a sector where trust is paramount, they were visually underperforming.
Our Solution
We designed a brand identity built around three keywords the client gave us: clean, reliable, and precise. The resulting system uses a monochromatic foundation with a carefully controlled accent palette, clinical typography, and strict grid-based layout rules — producing a visual language that feels immediately trustworthy while being distinctive enough to stand out in a pitch or trade setting.
How We Did It
Audited 15 direct competitors in the medical supply space to map visual positioning and identify white space for Squad Medical to occupy.
Developed three logo directions, each exploring a different visual metaphor: precision geometry, simplified cross-mark, and typographic authority. Client selected the geometric direction.
Designed business cards, letterhead, invoice templates, email signatures, and supplier-facing folder covers — all built to exact print specifications with bleed and colour profiles.
Produced a concise 32-page brand guide covering usage rules, spacing, colour values, typography hierarchy, and DO/DON'T examples. All files delivered print-ready.
"Our trade show presence completely changed after this rebrand. We went from blending in to consistently getting asked who designed our materials."
